Rower Roman – the story of a bike, dir. Michał Zieliński, Marcin Gmerek, Poland 2018, 12′

We met these guys on Bike Days 2016, where they showed their Splixie. Their newest production is a short narrative film about sports, where a bicycle plays the main role. The film’s protagonist is Roman – a low quality, cheap mountain bike that thinks he is the best in the world. Roman lives, talks and has feelings, and on top of all that, he is a heck of a boor. A little bit like the talking car in Knight Rider with the unforgettable David Hasselhoff. The film depicts his whole life – from the store, through the riding, to the old age spent in slippers by the fireplace.
